Category: Portfolio

In my short time as a “professional,” I have worked on an overwhelming array of projects; From fine arts to database programing.

My portfolio is a constantly changing list of pieces I consider successful. I am often proud of large projects immediately after completing them – but as time passes they lose their allure and I may pull them from this portfolio. Other times I may dredge up some long forgotten piece that has once again caught my eye.

cPort CU – Web Site

It is not often that a such a subtle design is picked from the initial mix of concepts that are sent to the client. The clean design allowed us to employ a unique, dynamic, color-coded menu. The menu’s elegance made navigating the site an almost euphoric experience.

IHECU – Web Site

International Harvester Employee Credit Union, had their old site submitted to ihatemyUGLYsite.com as part of promotion we were running at iDiz Inc. The site voted “Ugliest” would win a free site redesign. Despite stiff competition IHECU won and the following redesign was their reward.

Call FCU – Website

This was a wonderful site to work on. Call Federal Credit Union’s branding vision is abnormally fun and they had some very creative animations that were able to be salvaged from their old site. Their online brand had all the ingredients of genius before I even started – it just required a clean sophisticated site design to bring it all together.

TEFCU – Web Site

While at iDiz Incorporated I designed and developed Washington DC’s Transit Employees Credit Union site. It was an enjoyable project that offered a highly unique and ellaborate mix of interactive features.

The site is also one of the first to use WebiDiz a powerful and intuitive Content Management System I’ve developed at iDiz (with a LOT of help and support from the rest of the staff).

ihatemyUGLYsite.com – WebiDiz Promotion

Early summer 2008 I started programing a completely unique Content Management System for iDiz Incorporated (WebiDiz.com). After working with a variety of the top open source CMSs (J!, Wordpress, Drupal…) we decided to make a CMS that would beĀ  faster, easier to customize and mind-numbingly simple to use. Late 2008 we finished development and were finally ready to start marketing it.

Of course you need a basic information oriented site to describe the product, but we wanted to generate some buzz. After kicking around several ideas and hunting for the perfect domain name we came up with ihatemyUGLYsite.com. ihatemyUGLYsite is a contest to determine which Credit Union (CU’s are our primary market at iDiz Inc.) has the WORST web site. When the contest is over the ugliest Credit Union will be awarded a free site redesign complete with our CMS.

The campaign includes email blasts, postcards and buttons (to be handed out at a CU Marketing conference) all based on the site design.
